Thanks for building us a great catipillar engine. I wish we would have turned to you Doug years earlier. It is so nice to turn the keyswitch and have powerful trouble free trip after trip 150 plus miles offshore. I would recommend anyone that is in need for service or rebuilds turn to jacobs. He didn't anwer his phone every time I called, probably because he was working but he was always able to be contacted either through text or email. Keep up the good wook we are counting on you to be there in the future.

If you're looking for someone who truly knows Caterpillar engines inside and out, Doug at Virginia Diesel is the guy. He brings many years of hands-on experience to the table and it shows in every part of his work. He doesn’t just repair engines, he understands them on a level that only comes from building and maintaining them for years.

Buyers be ware, and heaven forbid you have an issue. I purchased a motor from Mr Jacobs after talking extensively with him about his product and service. He is very knowledgeable about these motors, but at the end of the day he is little more than a con artist. My Jacobs quoted my $18,500 plus core deposit. I promptly paid Mr. Jacobs in full, minus the core deposit because I would be bringing my core with me at time of pickup. A timeline was established, and deliver by date set. Ronnie Atkinson with Fish Hook Charters, North Myrtle Beach, SC. I currently own 3 boats with diesel engines. It is funny how I read some of these reviews on here about Doug, I currently live 5 hours away from Doug/Jacobs Diesel repair. There is no local marine diesel shop in the Myrtle Beach area for Cummins or CATS. Closest places are Charleston, SC or Wilmington, NC., and it is like pulling teeth to get anyone to rebuild or come to town to check your engines.
