This scenic trail extends 17 miles through the Jefferson National Forest to the east and 17 miles to the quaint little historical town of Abingdon in the west. Damascus is the home to the beautiful 17-mile downhill ride from Whitetop to Damascus.

One of the best bike trails ever. Check this out in fall or spring for the best time but if you go in the summer it is typically cooler in the mountains. You'll enjoy!
The views along the way are incredible. Tons of rivers and bridges to look at and cross and wildlife to behold. We traveled 17 miles on bikes and loved every minute of it.
Currently only open from Abingdon to Damascus
