I have been taking my family's cars to Virgils for over 20 years. A friend originally recommended them, and I'm glad they did. I don't trust car repair shops by nature, but I trust Virgils completely. I've dropped off cars where I was certain what the problem was, and told them so, only to find it was something considerably less expensive. This has happened several times. Do Not Go – Unfortunately, I have had to take my car back after every repair to repair the last repair. Nothing was gauranteed as every time I took it back, they continued to charge me because they either "found something else" or they were unable to find previous invoices to verify what work they already charged me for. I even had men call for me just in case, as I've had a problem before with mechanics as I am a woman, and the stories continue to change. A simple repair turned into a lot of money and time wasted. Hands down the most honest mechanics in the KC Metro! – I have gone to them for 9 years now and they are so very honest, from the fact that they volunteer that some of their services are more expensive than we might want to spend, to when Our Dodge Interpid's engine died, they traded $3000 they might have gotten for an overhaul for free advice, to sell the car for parts and get a new one because they couldn't guarantee a new engine would last terribly long! Best Garage in Lees Summit – I can't give enough kudos to this garage! They are honest and fair. In response to the rating above the part will be under warranty and they will replace that but it does not cover the labor after a certain amount of time. Faulty parts are not their error but the error of the manufactuer. The price quoted is really not that bed depending upon the placement of the alternator. Great service from honest people – I have used Virgils about four times in the last few years. Each time they have been very fair and honest. I have compared thier prices to other shops around town and they are as good as any. They just worked on a very difficult intermitent problem on my daughters car. The car would not idle correctly and die only on occassion. The scanners would not diagnose the problem so it was a guessing game. They had the car for a couple of days trouble-shooting the problem.
