Tasty Spicy Tuna Rolls & Crappy Service – I have been here several times and the one thing that stood out was the horrible service and noisy atmosphere.It took and "act of congress" to get the servers attention for another drink for my friends and i! I will say the food is pretty good but the service and noise brings that down unfortunately.
Great Sushi and Drinks – This restaurant is excellent! The sushi is very tasty and the drinks are good. The ambience is good and the service is prompt. I will go to Virago anytime I have a taste for good sushi. Be sure to make reservations!
Enjoy the view! – I am here to relay my fantastic experience I had at Virago last week. Jamie the bartender was not only professional and attentive, but extremely attractive as well. At my place of work, there is nasty vending machine food, and no eye candy. It is nice to get off work, relax with good company and enjoy the view.
Beware of what you wear at Virago – Four of us went to Virago on a recent hot summer night. The guys wore linen shorts & dress shirts; ladies wore dresses. We were told at the door "shorts weren't allowed". Hum, let me get this straight. No dress shorts, but torn & faded blue jeans w/"slept-in AC/DC" t-shirts were fine. We've been in exclusive country clubs that require collared shirts & shorts are acceptable (as long as they aren't cargo shorts). Worst service in Nashville – OK, Nashville is a great little city with nice people. People just plain care about other people. This place was the opposite. Even the people taking reservations are horrendously rude. Go to any other restaurant in town. Management - shame on you!
RUDE MANAGEMENT+STAFF overshadow fabulous sushi – DINNER DATE WAS MAY 16-2008--I went recently in May for a birthday dinner for a work friend. I was appalled at their lack of customer service for such a "high class" eatery. Half price monday sushi- amazing. Service...not so much – My friends and I were just discussing Virago today. I absolutely am addicted to their sushi...in fact last summer- I was there almost every monday night for half priced sushi monday. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible Service – I have to agree with the other bad reviews. This place gives a new meaning to "bad service". The wait staff and manager are also very rude. The food was ok at best. The atmosphere was pretentious and very uncomfortable. Matter of fact, my wife had spilled a $14.00 martini after taking one sip and they would not comp the drink. Yes, agree with bad – I have to agree with the other bad reviews. Don't waste your time or money on this place. The staff is rude and the food is just not worth it. Maybe at one time it used to be okay but if I were you I would try another restaurant in town.
