Jim and Vintage Turntable & Stereo is also the most incompetent repair service I have ever dealt with, just like Paul M, but at least he got all of his equipment back. I took in a pioneer turntable and a Sansui Receiver to be serviced that my Dad bought when he was in the Navy during Vietnam......that was 2 years ago. The turntable only needed a new stylus and some general upkeep but it still took several months to get done. The receiver needed more work as one channel was intermittent, etc…so it was not ready. Jim and Vintage Turntable & Stereo is the most incompetent repair service I have ever dealt with. I asked Jim to replace the phono power transistor on my stereo amplifier and fix a CD player that wouldn’t eject. After 2 months I called to check progress. Jim said he was having schematic issues on the amplifier and hadn’t put the CD player on the bench yet. When I asked if he would be able to repair the equipment, he rudely told me he would fix them and call me when they could be picked up. He never called. After 8 months I d... read more
