$50 + $8 tip for 15 minute ride through downtown Houston starting at the Aquarium is not worth the ride. The carriage was clean, but the driver barely spoke and kept his head down almost the entire time, as if distracted by the phone. I suggested tipping afterwards.
HORRIBLE & UNETHICAL company. Yolanda, the point of contact for all booking, is DISHONEST, viciously rude, and unprofessional. & they mistreat their horses!!! Hoping others will not repeat my terrible experience and will find an alternative horse & carriage ride in Houston.
I would rate it a zero if I could. Customer service is not great at all. The lady that answered the phone was very rude, talking over me, and very dismissive. Said she would email me information concerning the event but never received. I called for several days and left messages and no one ever returned my call. Called again today, got the same lady. Had a great experience tonight on the River Oaks Carriage tour. Great service and new family tradition!
They are great for pleasure rides and group rides. Available for funerals if you would like to carry your loved one to the grave on a carriage.
