Miserable experience getting a home loan here. Our point person quit less than a week before closing and the replacement didn't have all the paperwork they needed so there was a rush to get information or documents that either (1) should have been asked for before or, (2) were already provided but were lost in the transition. The woman who walked us through closing was rude. This is a review of the abominable manner in which we were treated by ***** ***** of Vinson Mortgage when we applied first for a reverse mortgage which he eventually informed us that he couldn't accomplish and then for a regular FHA mortgage which he assured us he could do. (Bait and switch??) We applied for the reverse mortgage in early November. After going through all the paperwork which took about a week we waited for results. I was very impressed with the job that ***** *****did. He was there to answer any of my questions as soon as I had them, was very up front about what I would need right from the get-go and made the process so easy for me! I could tell that he was looking for the best deal he could find for me and not just trying to make a sale.

I work with Casey *****, one of Vinson Mortgage's Loan officers. He is fantastic! He works very hard and is extremely diligent about finding the best loan for my client's personal needs. We contacted Vinson Mortgage without knowing anything about buying a home and Beverly did an absolutely amazing job explaining every step to us and giving us tips to make things easier. She was very diligent about having all of her ducks in a row and getting all of the information she needed to make the process run as smoothly as possible. I have recommended Vinson Mortgage to several friends. We defiantly had an unique situation which gave us a few hurdles in finding a lender.
