Great Italian food with a touch of New England.
My favorite restaurant in Somerville. The North End gets a lot to hype but this is the best Italian food in Boston, and probably my favorite restaurant in the whole city. I would recommend the pork chop (with potatoes and roasted vegetables) and espresso martini, but everything here is good.
I went to this restaurant with high hopes after hearing several good things about it, but unfortunately it ended up being a disappointment. The atmosphere wasn’t bad, nor were the staff, which is why it’s getting 2 stars, rather 1. The pasta just seemed like it was under boiled and sauce was slapped together on it and service felt noticeably slow considering it wasn’t particularly busy. I feel like the experience was overpriced compared to the quality of food received.
This is a neighborhood fixture. Food is Sicilian, portions are generous. All the classic dishes are available. Pork chops and vinegar peppers were delicious and served with home made pasta. Beef bracciol was outstanding and served with angel hair pasta
