I would not recommend it at all.
Not a good place if your looking for self development. They place students together by grade instead of by level of skills which could be distracting. Especially if there are only 2 other classmates in your grade. My best is advice is stay away or leave while you can. Leaving will be the best feeling ever.
Congratulations graduates 🎓
I went there from September 1974 to June 1977.I think Mr.Alan Intreglia was a very responsible caring individual as was Mr.Perry the assistant head master.Mr.Anderson was a lot of fun as was Mrs.Hanser and Mrs.Czaglady. But above all it was Mr.Intreglia lasting positive influence on me that stayed with me to this very day, over 4 decades later.I understand he went on to a successful career in banking. No doubt he would do well as have I.I have been a title closer self employed right out of college. There was st that time a nega... read more
I was there for one year 1990 in the 9th grade. I had some good memories there met some good friends. Wish I could have stayed in contact with them
It's a great school. I graduated second in my class.
Attended Vincent Smith from 1994-1999. Honestly, this place was a joke when I went there. Academics were sub-par and too easy. The school's gym was a horror with no nets on the basketball hoops.I hope the lunch food improved, I basically had a cup of noodle and Snapple for five years. I really hope the school has improved since I have left.
Business response:
Hi TJ--We're happy to tell you a lot has changed in the 20 years since you were here. We're considered one of the premiere academic schools on LI for learning disabilities with the majority of our grads going on to college and successful careers. And yes, the hoops have nets, among many other improvements :). If you're ever in the neighborhood, drop by and say hi!
Attended Vincent Smith from 1962 through 1965. I think of those days now and then. I am grateful to have known head master Norman Jameison, teachers Robert Simpson, Ken Archer among others. There was of course Mrs Smith. So many memories. What a difference they made in my life.
When I went here 1983-1992 the friends I made. The memories that were made. Especially Rocking horse ranch was always memorable to me. This is where friendships grew into bigger ones. Mr. D and the other staff on these trips made my birthday special at Rocking Horse Ranch.
Vincent Smith School has a 3.5 star rating with 43 reviews.
