The food tastes like elementary school cafeteria food (and expensive anyway). Service is slow even when they weren’t busy. It’s cute, so I guess it might be ok for drinks if you’re willing to wait and maybe ask a server to serve you. Just don’t here here if you like eating.
If the food scene is Charleston is truly competitive, it’s inexplicable to me that this venue can serve the food they do. While the ambiance was excellent, the food was miserable. After being seated we had to flag down the waiter to even get water - that was after waiting patiently for 20 minutes. The chicken Marsala was described as a crispy chicken cutlet on the menu - crispy was an understatement. I did not enjoy the chicken fritti fritti fritti.
I attended a private event this evening and Katie and Reggie went above and beyond. Superb service, incredible food and anticipating our every need or want. If you want a carefree night of great food and even better service check this place out.
I have NO idea why this place is not a full 5 star! I don't leave many reviews, but will advise when things are in disarray. However, this is one the very best Italian restaurants I have been to. Granted, my husband and I have been to Italy a few times but this restaurant rivals the restaurants we have been to in Florence, Rome or Venice.
