I hesitate to write this because I enjoy the relative ease of getting a reservation at Vin Folk, but it is hands-down the best restaurant in the South Bay. The food is inventive and lovely, balancing the story of the two lead chefs while remaining approachable and absolutely plate-scraping worthy. I skipped directly to the main event, DESSERT. Upon learning that every layer of their Tiramisu is handmade in-house, I decided this item should be my first introduction to the place. It did not disappoint! For reference, I like Tiramisu at any level: I'll give 6/10 to a slice from the grocery cooler. 9/10 for one that's "homemade" at a traditional Italian restaurant. But this!?
