I and my siblings searched a lot of places on eastern Long Island for a place for our older sister whose health was failing. She was living in her home of 50 years by herself and could no longer care for herself. I and my siblings live nowhere near her, so were grateful for the assistance given by Village Walk to 1) assess her in the hospital, 2) get her to their facility, 3) be VERY patient (financially) while we sold her home to have the means to support her care for many years. The Village Walk was the best thing that could have happened to my 88 year old cousin. They have a terrific Staff and they are taking such wonderful care of her. We were working with a very limited budget and the Village Walk was the only one that would work with me until I could sell her apartment. Her room is beautiful and bright! Thank You Village Walk, I finally have peace of mind.
Criminal how this place compares my mother's health to buying a car. She's not even released from the hospital and these crooks are demanding a check for $10 k. Oh, and we have 3 hours to decide or monthly rate gets jacked up another 3k. I can only imagine what the care would be like if we signed my father's life savings away to these criminals. Update: Too late... she's dead now. But thanks for the prompt response (6 years later) what a joke.
We can’t say enough good things about The Village Walk! Amazing & caring staff across the board, unbelievable activities & trips all over Long Island, excellent nursing department & we just had so much fun at the annual Christmas party with such great food & entertainment!! Our dad has been very happy here in the memory care unit for the past 4 years & has made so many new friends with both residents & staff. We feel so grateful he is here!!
My mother has been a resident at Village Walk for 6 months. She moved in when she could no longer take care of herself. We deliberated between a full time caretaker or going to Village Walk and after weighing the options made what was absolutely the right decision for her. The care she receives is professional and loving and activities are stimulating and catered to her abilities. It was not an easy decision but she’s a part of a supportive and caring community and we are so appreciative of the home they have given her.
