Everyone is very helpful and good with my deaf Dalmatian. The prices are very reasonable. I used to go to New Kent Vet on Route 60 and could not get out of there for less than $300.00. For an annual at this vet I can get out for less than $120.00 for treatment and medicine.

We are so thankful that Village Vet is in New Kent. We have six furry family members, all of whom are former "rescue" pets, and none of them are very happy at the vet's office. Dr. Weakland and his staff are so gentle and loving with them all. They provide the best care but are sensitive to our budget, so they always carefully explain what they recommend as far as blood tests, etc., and tell us the cost up front. My experience at Village Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Weakland has been wonderful. Dr. Weakland is like the physician I never had! He reads about my dogs, he observes them, and he actually pays attention to all the details concerning their condition and then gives me the best advice in common sense terms. Dr. Weakland, unlike many veterinarians, actually takes the time with the animal to really see what is going on with them. I appreciate his caring attitude, his manner with my dogs, and my dogs respond to him as well.
Our first visit was to take our daughters dog in due to a leg issue. Made you feel at home and welcomed. Very easy going and loving with the dog. Did not order unneccessary tests or xrays. Let us know up front what was going on and how much it would run. Found a new ""family member"" doctor. Unlike others in the area, we felt they were there for us and the pet rather than viewing us as a money maker..... Ken Smith, New Kent Va.
This has to be the best vet I have ever taken my dog Ewok to, not only do they treat you like your family. But they arnt money hungry like other vets. They care about your animals more than anything and will do everything within their reach to help you. The CARE! That is the most important thing in my view, they are down to earth and reasonably priced. I would recoment them to anyone and everyone I know and I carry their business cards with me to hand out every chance I get.
