I will start this review by saying I have always had nothing but positive, raving reviews of Dr. Shah and her sweet staff. They have always given my 4 children high quality care AND respect for us as parents. So, to say I was blindsided and so very disappointed in the new vaccination policy and how it was communicated (or not communicated) is an understatement. As a parent, bringing a sick child to this clinic has been a frustrating experience. While I understand policies around cancellations, it feels harsh that they refuse to see us even if we’re just five minutes late—especially when dealing with a sick child. Arriving early doesn’t help either, as we’re made to wait earlier. What’s worse is not being told in advance that our child will be seen by a nurse practitioner instead of the doctor. We have been bringing both of our boys — a 4-year-old and a 9-month-old — to Village Pediatrics at Vickery, and it has been more than worth the almost hour-long drive from our home. Every visit, the staff is warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The doctors take their time with us, making sure all of our questions are answered and that we feel completely supported in our children’s care.
