Open MRI are not as open as people think. The difference is: of you are not on the long regular MRI machine, then the Radiologist's have to protect your head. Therefore, a football helmet along with a catchers MASK is almost always going to be put on over your face/head making it a bit more claustrophobic than described and anticipated. They show in the brochure the stand up MRI machine and the sit down MRI, a relaxing time to look at TV. I work for a company and we were attempting to refer a patient to this location. We contacted the office several time and sent faxes; however, we have not been able to speak with anyone regarding the billing/insurance matter, so that we can attempt to refer our patient. We followed up again today and was on hold for over 25 minutes, with no response.
Everyone was nice. Its a busy doctors office environment however its clean and the staff even though under stress was very friendly. I cant believe the negative reviews, people forget that at the end of the day your dealing with other human beings that are busy at work, give them a bit of a break.
