Not a bad neighborhood pizza place. Nothing to go out of your way for though.
We have ordered several times from.here and the pizza came burnt and over cooked. This past time was no different. We also ordered an eggplant roll and was not any better chemical taste and had pieces of something that didn't look like eggplant. Once again we were disappointed 😞
I grew up in Great Kills in the 70s and 80s. I can tell you hands-down from my life experience over the past 60 years that there is no pizza anywhere in the New York Metropolitan area that comes even close to Village Maria Pizza in Great Kills Village. I tell anybody who has any kind of argument about some “great” pizza place they think is amazing, they have not had pizza that is worth even having if they’ve never been to Village Maria. I will love you guys forever, and don’t change out your pizza ovens whatever you do.
The food was decent overall — the pizza and menu options are solid, though not the most standout compared to some other places nearby. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made sure everything was handled smoothly. The dining area has a nice, relaxed vibe that works well for families or quick meetups.
Village Maria Pizza has a 4 star rating with 324 reviews.
Village Maria Pizza is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
