Played the course on Tuesday, 7/17/18. It was in good condition and pace of play was good too. Got a free bottle of water at check in. The cart girl came by at regular intervals so we could get more to drink. The greens were ok but had lots of ball marks so I’ll say what I usually do in my ratings; Good rule of thumb, repair your ball mark and one other! One downside is no GPS on the carts and could use sand bottles to repair fairway divots. Otherwise not a bad place to play for the money.
Played 18 yesterday didn't know that theres no drink cart on mondays ,tee off was 10:06 bar wasn't open ,theres no water out there and it was a real hot day. Also the grass cutting guy didnt care if he was in your way ,he seemed to be cutting the s az me grass over and over. Not sure if it just was the heat but didn't have a good day.
Only complaint: Groundkeeper yesterday morning couldn’t figure out moving up ONE freaking hole and circling back so we didn’t have to wait for him to finish up on the greens...every single time. No one behind us (buffer zone). Common sense...I get it since its in short supply everywhere you turn.
Golfed there this last Thursday 5/31 and the course was in terrible shape. Whoever was cutting the grass better put glasses on becuz he missed alot. And if you were just off the fairway good luck finding your ball the rough was long and thick. That was the 1st cut rough. I've golfed here b4 and it was never this bad. Lot of nerve charging $50.00 for this type of course. Next time pick up the grass clippings in the fairway.
Pace of play is dreadfully slow. Tee boxes were in horrible condition—like teeing from the rough. Calling them fairways was too nice. Just not a good experience. Course is for beginners and those who just don’t respect golf rules or nice grounds.
Have been golfing here in ladies league for many years..there is also a men’s league on same day, they have always catered to the men. We golfed yesterday..Mother’s day..three foursomes..this is our third year on Mother’s day..it occurred to me..they once again don’t do much for ladies..no drink cart on course..not even passing out water for Mother’s day. May go to River Bend next year..they have had free golf for moms on mother’s day in the past..probably did yesterday too.
In pretty good shape Heavily played Good pace of play Friendly helpful staff I will be back
Solid golf in Chicagoland. Well worth the money.
