I am from Fairmont, WV and my daughter was getting married in Parkersburg. I came across The Village Cakery online. I called, and spoke with the owner and explained what we wanted. It was something they offered. Ordered the cake 1 1/2 months prior to the wedding. They called the day before to confirm the order. Easy to find location. Picked up the cake and cupcakes. This bakery has been our go-to choice for cakes over the last two years, and the quality has always been outstanding, making it my absolute favorite place to order from.
They were very willing to work with me on an order. And made it happen!
Holy smokes! I had a chance to try the vanilla cake with raspberry filling…my wonderful coworker brought it in as leftover bday cake…this cake was better than most of the bakeries in Cincinnati and even with it being a few days old! This place knows what they are doing! Everything tasted natural and delicious- your hint of coconut was absolute perfection! Next time I visit my family in Athens I’m stopping in!
I had to get a birthday cake quickly because the one I had ordered from another bakery was absolutely terrible. I called Village Cakery and she decorated one for me to have that day.
