Cake and being overcharged I have had a couple issues with this bakery: 1. I would always stop there in the am for an iced coffee, always being charged a $1. One time, I happened to go in the afternoon on a week-end- Diff. worker charged me $1.50! I was like did you guys raise the prices or something- the owner happened to come out of the kitchen and said to the worker " oh she's not a tourist" and charged me a $1. Delicious and Beautiful - A Work of Art We had the Raspbery Swirl Casatta Cake for my daughter's shower , It was delicious and totally complimented our theme and the invitations. We had the Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese frosting for the Rehearsal Dinner. Our new son-in-law says it was the best cake he ever tasted - and he's from the south. Delicious as well as beautiful! The Village Bake Shop made my daughter's wedding cake. Not only was the Caramel Swirl Casatta absolutely delicious, but the cake decorating was absolutely breathtaking. Everyone raved about the cake. We get all our desserts and special occasion cakes at the Village Bake Shoppe. They never let us down!
Good for sweets The Village Bake Shoppe has a tough job to do. There is another bakery just a block away which has been there forever and does everything great. So what is the Village Bake Shoppe's niche apart from the special way in which they spell "Shoppe"? Well, they've got great pies, cakes and cookies. They've got a crafty section in the back and they have ICE CREAM! That's something the other bakery doesn't have. On a warm day, this makes the difference for me.
Village Bake Shoppe The Village Bake Shoppe is a newer shop in Lewiston. I was disappointed in the cost of their items. The cakes had wonderful designs on them and looked great. I did think that their selection was a little limited.
