This is the restaurant we always think of when we are looking for" something special " They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable & at home; it's like going to someones home for dinner, you are definately their guest s the homemade desserts are out of this world.
Great People Really nice and friendly. Good food. They have a wonderful Drucken Mushroom with brandy. Their wine list is quite good and they help me make a choice I'm always happy with.
Italian Fine Dining at it's Best – Finelli's Italian is fine dining at it's best! It reminds me of the great Italian restaurants of Little Italy in NYC or the real thing in Rome or Venice. The atmosphere is comfortable and warm with the Finelli family interacting with the customers like everyone is a long lost family member being welcomed home. Bad location, don't walk alone at night. – Food is typical for local italian restaurants but prices are very high. Meals are inconsistent, if I order the same meal twice, there are major differences. The owner/hostess is overbearing, interrupts a pleasant dining experience by socializing sometimes constantly. Atmosphere is pleasant, waitstaff professional, some food items seem as though they come from a jar or freezer??? (though I could be wrong). User review by danceon – No doubt the best fine dinning in Blair County! The Finelli family makes your dinner a dining experience. The food is in a league of its own, compliments to the chef and to Mrs. Finelli's wonderful desserts. I never leave with an empty stomache. Finelli's resturant is a must for anyone looking to experience the best food in Altoona, PA!
great food, great atmosphere! – Excellent food in a comfortable, softly lit beautiful setting. The Finelli family go to great lengths to make every dining experience here memorable and they succeed. The veal, seafood and pasta entrees are tops. Special events (like "Mardi Gras" night) throughout the year make this restaurant a "destination" dining spot. This is truly one of Altoona's few "fine dining" locations. A very good (separate) well-stocked bar for "unwinding" before moving to the elegant dining rooms.
