The history of The Villa Franca is very special. Dating from 1859, and a landmark in the Mill Bridge community, Villa Franca was built for Dr. Francis Neely Luckey (1823-1878). Dr. Luckey enlisted as a surgeon during the Civil War. The home was sold to Reverend Brown in the 1890s. The Browns added the upper back addition. The home stayed in the Brown family up until it was moved in 1982.The Blacks bought the home in 1998 and restored it to its current condition to be their home. My husband and I had our wedding at this venue and it could not have been more perfect! We went to see the venue in the middle of winter when it was cold and all the greenery/flowers were gone, but we still fell in love with it! All our interactions with Carla (the owner) were extremely pleasant and reaffirmed that we made the right the decision! Carla, Randy and the entire Villa Franca crew made our wedding day absolutely magical. Our guests raved the entire night about how amazing and stunning the venue was. It truly was like out of a Disney movie in the best way possible. You can see the love these two owners have for their venue. The venue is in rural NC and honestly, the perfect location. No loud cars, trains, restaurants, etc. It was just peaceful and perfect. Thank you again for letting us have our special day at your wonderful venue!!
We used the venue for a surprise 80th birthday celebration for my mom. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and we had very little to do as far as decorating because it is decorated so beautifully! The owners were wonderful and so easy to work with!! I would highly recommend Villa Franca for any occasion you might be planning! I received so many compliments on the venue and how wonderful my mom’s party was! Carla, the owner is the best!!
The Villa Franca is absolute perfection! The grounds are beautiful and Carla and Randy went over and beyond to ensure a perfect wedding day for us! They made us feel so special. I can not say enough good things about this place and the staff. I would highly recommend The Villa Franca to everyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue with exceptional staff!
