It’s always a pleasure visiting Dr Shivkumar’s office.
This is my mother‘s provider. I’m actually her healthcare advocate and I have attended the two appointments that she’s had with this physician. I’m told that he is the Parkinson’s expert in Orlando health hospital system. He seems very knowledgeable about Parkinson’s and treatments of Parkinson’s however I would say that his bedside manner comes off as a little dismissive other than that I have had a decent experience and so has my mother
Wait time-5 min! This Dr is patient. He listens. Very thorough. Most drs assume my daughter has cognitive issues, when in fact, she understands everything and can respond, though slowly. This Dr asks questions and pays attention. Will return.
This doctor didn’t help me at all. He completely dismissed me. Didn’t even do a neurological exam. Wouldn’t listen to my symptoms or look at videos of my problems and said there’s nothing I can do for you as I cried in his office. I had to ask what I could do then and he said I guess I can refer you to Mayo Clinic but I feel like if I hadn’t asked he would have let me leave with nothing.
