My sewer backed up into my downstairs bathroom, completely filling the shower stall, floor, and toilet with a brownish sludge that was so horrifying I did not ever want to remember it by taking a picture with my smart phone. My downstairs carpeting also was a soggy, smelly mess. After I called a local plumbing company to basically clean up the mess, I knew the time had come to completely replace the sewer system.
