Would rate this 0 stars if I could. Stayed here 3 weeks, and all they diagnosed me with was major depression. Asked time and time again to check for adhd, for pacing/restlessness, fidgeting literally all the time. They did nothing. Doctor promised I’d be leaving here and have meds to help my anxiety as a safety net, they took them away upon discharge. I am only giving 2 stars because of Shawntasia - she deserves a raise and a VACATION! Shawntasia, Miss Patsy ,and Brandon were the ONLY staff that treated me well. They saw me as a human not my disease - that makes ALL the difference. There was no coffee and no concern for my immediate needs... If not for Brandon and Miss Patsy I would have received ZERO help from ANY night nurse. Shawntasia took her time and really listened to me - she made me feel heard and that made all the difference. Posted Around 3/28/23. I give Vidant Adult Behavioral Health Northside Mental Health Hospital FIVE STARS. Starting the review with intake....The reception who did my paperwork was warm, inviting and compassionate. When I first walked into the facility, I immediately knew I was in the right place and would be well cared for. What impressed me is how respectful and mindful they are of patient rights. I I am giving 3 stars because of Deb Scarfo. I would give her 5 stars alone. It is really disappointing to have professionals treat you in such a demeaning way when you are already going through a difficult time. How you could be comfortable speaking down to someone, cussing, and having an ugly attitude but especially on your job when you should have a professional demeanor.
