After working more than a decade in multiple insurance fields, I get a call stating the retina photo (add-on) to exam is mandatory “by your insurance”. I say it’s not, it’s an out of pocket offering that insurance doesn’t cover. The receptionist back peddles and says “ohh, it’s mandatory by our company so you have to do it to get an exam with us”.
