What a perfect base this was to research my family history on Staten Island. They arrived about the same time it was built. Danuta your host welcomes visitors to her Victorian "cottage" she has filled with period antiques and meticulously preserved Victorian interior. A sheer delight! We spent a 3-day weekend for a family wedding in Brooklyn. Danuta's place takes you back to the bygone days of New Jersey as it was in the late 19th century. The house is charming, and the rooms are comfortable, clean, and well supplied (blankets and extra pillows, soap, shampoo, and lotions, wi-fi, ceiling fans). The owner, Danuta, is a fascinating person, welcoming, responsive, and a great cook - try her pies and cooked veggies. We will be happy to go back again.

We really loved our stay with Danuta at the Victorian Bed and Breakfast of Staten Island. The home is so elegant and interesting. Full of history. Our rooms were beautiful and comfortable, every room was. Danuta is a great host, very caring and knowledgeable and hardworking. The price is great and access to the city was quick and easy. My family and I miss Danuta and her lovely home, I feel like calling her just to chat and say hello.

OMG the best experience ever at this location. I have to give 10 stars 🌟 for each category. The hospitality was so warm and friendly that I felt like family. I had the honor of meeting the owner of this beautiful Victorian house and she is an extraordinary woman with DIGNITY AND WITH CHARACTER AND ASSERTIVE. I TIP MY HAT AND BOW DOWN to her. Danuta is an incredible hostess and supplies everything you need to feel right at home. And the home itself is also a true gem. It’s historic, warm, charming, and very cozy. It’s got two screened in porches, as well as lots of comfy seating, reading material, and appealing art. Would definitely love to stay again! Thank you, Danuta!
