As an Aboriginal man who has struggled with identity and generational trauma and many other issues, walking into VAHS without knowing what I needed, was possibly the best thing to happen. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding what I perceive as hypocrisy within the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (Preston). As a member of the community, I hold the organization in high regard and believe in its mission to serve the Aboriginal community with integrity and compassion. Every time I have travelled in the rain and walked and caught tram to this supposed organisation, it's doors have been locked and chained up.
