An absolute gem in East London! Victoria Park is one of my favorite places to spend time outdoors. The park is beautifully maintained with stunning lake views, charming bridges, and plenty of green space to relax or have a picnic. I love the variety it offers - whether you want a peaceful walk around the lakes, a jog along the paths, or to watch the world go by from one of the cafés, there's something for everyone. Victoria Park in the early autumn is fantastic. The leaves are turn gold, red and brown. And during the sunset on clear day the trees glow as if under a spotlight on the trees. Entering via the canal in the bottom corner is a great way to start a loop of the park. Walkers, runners and cyclists of all ages make it a lovely atmosphere.
Yesterday, I went to Victoria Park to participate in a 5K run hosted by Run-Through. The park is very spacious, with a large pool of water in the middle. There's a playground for children, wheelchair-friendly, and smooth, even paths.
