I absolutely love Dr. Powis she is so kind and gentle and down to earth. If you are looking for a gynecologist who actually cares about your needs and will educate you and answer any questions you have please go see her! I always get so nervous for these visits but Dr. Powis is one of a kind and I am so thankful for her! Staci is always so sweet and kind anytime I come in she greets me and makes me feel welcomed! Thank you both for always making my experience great!
Dr. Powis tried to argue with me about getting internal monitoring during labor while I was already pushing. She also tried to pull on the cord after I'd birthed my baby before I'd birthed the placenta which is against medical standards bc it can lead to placental abruption and hemorrhaging. Was very frustrated with the lack of communication and care. I thank God I had a wonderful nurse who advocated for me during labor.
Dr. Powis refused to see me after I went to another doctor to get a 2nd opinion and wanted to continue seeing Dr. Powis. The office said that because I said I had a bad experience giving birth at doctors hospital and they feel it's a conflict of interest to see me again. I'm not the only person who has had issues giving birth at Doctors hospital. Absolutely floored that a doctor would refuse to see her patient who is seeking care.
Dr Powis is great! She really listens to the patient and recommends the least invasive treatment possible. She goes out of her way to know her patients and is very caring.
