So, I attempted to schedule an eye test in person, they took my info, and I never heard back. Really sad.
Patient must NOT complain about cost. If you do you'll be refused service. Is that even legal?
I was extremely disappointed in the staff. I waited at the window for approximately 30 minutes. I was not happy with the attitude of the young girl at the window, once she finally arrived. She was rude, condescending and led me to the point to tear my paperwork up and walk out. I never had the opportunity to meet the Dr. I did write a letter to him, but never heard back. I guess a new patient isn't what they want there.
Dr. Cook has a retinal scanner which eliminates the need for dilation (yeah!) and provides an image of the inside of the eye. Dr. Cook projects the image on a very large flat panel monitor/screen and discusses findings with you. He can detect diabetic damage (like blood leaking into your eye from diseased vessels) in the scan, as well as other conditions and diseases. I've never been offered this service before, whether in a large "chain" clinic or a private practice. Fantastic service--worth driving a long distance for it!
