These are the worst doctors! I had previously seen one of these doctors 7 years ago and after 7 yrs I came back feeling bad, so the receptionist didn’t check if I had seen one of these doctors in the group she just gave me appointment to see a doctor so I came back for my appointment they did bloodwork and I came back again not to see the doctor but the nurse practitioner,she asked me did the doctor tell you, you have lupus. Went to see dr Byrd in Jan 26’. He did some testing confirming a diagnosis. Sent a letter in the mail with results saying if I wanted to start a medication to let him know. Problem is- I contacted his office and left a voice mail for his nurse, called again 4 days later and spoke with receptionist telling her I hadn’t received a call back yet from nurse. I was then promised to get a call from her. Still waiting… day 11!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!
Dr Byrd is one of the only doctors who’s ever listened to me and worked to figure out what’s going on with me and not just dismiss me as being a woman nor trying to blame it on my weight. He is very smart and good at what he does. His bedside manner is honest without being brutal. He is responsive on emails and it doesn’t take forever to get an appointment with him. I recommend him to other people especially women looking for a rheumatologist that will listen to them and search for an answer and diagnosis.
I have been dealing with symptoms for years and after going to two other rheumatologists who dismissed me, Dr Byrd did extra testing and figured out what was going on with me. He really listened to me. He took me seriously. I will recommend Dr Byrd to anyone looking for a rheumatologist.
