I'd say which help you get depends a lot on which operator you're assigned to, called them twice on two different days, one was nice but bit rushed, the other was super rude and acted very unbothered, can't believe if the caller was a rape victim which degree of secondary harm and injury to dignity would they get. Did they really all receive the same training? It's ridiculous.
During my most difficult time in life, there was no services or support offered through victim services. I was totally left in isolation to deal with the aftermath of abuse & trauma on my own. My worker Shelayne was on vacation every other month and unresponsive to clients after multiple voicemails left and phone calls daily. My case was then passed on to another worker Deepi who has not contacted in over a week. I am not sure exactly the job responsibilities of victim service worker?
