I came in for an STD panel because I recently started dating a new partner. During the appointment, the nurse asked if I worked in the adult industry. I laughed in disbelief and told her no, and she explained that she has clients in the adult industry, which is why she asked. While I understand she may work with a variety of patients, the question felt unnecessary, inappropriate, and offensive. Vicky is my PA and I told her I was concerned about possibly having SIBO. She literally looked at me as if I was stupid and said “I’ve never heard of SIBO before what is that?” I literally googled it in front of her and proceeded to say that must be a new term. This is what Optum is full of! People with degrees but no knowledge or sympathy!!!
Went in on Friday for a COVID PCR test (I'm severely immunocompromised) after two days of known exposure. Vicky asked me if it could be the flu... I then waited in the room for 30mins for someone to come in and swab my nose with no avail. I stepped out to the nurses station to ask what was going on, they said that they had no idea what I was talking about and if I did "need a test", Vicky had not even ordered it yet. Worst nurse ever. There’s a reason she has a 1 star rating online. She’s rude, pretentious, doesn’t show care for patient and will quick to over bill you . She currently works at Optum in Seattle . I would stay far away from that place.
