Excellent! Vickers is a great special date restaurant. They frequently have wild game for specials and their menu is diverse and attentive. Service is top-notch. Expensive but excellent for a special occaision.
I'm hooked! Fabulous experiences at Vickers. What a great place! The menu was amazing. We are definately goign back. I had the Steak Diane which was prepared at the table and my husband had the Bison. The owner came over to offer us a glass of champage (which was so nice!!) after talking to us about our honeymoon in Italy! We are FOR SURE going back for dinner. I have already met after work friends there for Happy Hour and loved it! It's just nice to not have to go to a dirty sports bar where you get a drink in a plastic cup... read more
Vickers Tavern has a menu I'd like to explore further! Classic French cuisine (very well done) in an American colonial atmosphere. My husband and I had a kind of 'duh' moment and went there with our 5 year old daughter - they sat us in the dining room, but my daughter's bright little voice seemed very out of place, so we had ourselves moved to the pub area and we were much more relaxed. I would like to return some time and hang out at the bar - nice intellectual conversations going on there.
The best staff and cook must have been home resting for today, Mother's Day. We all had escargot and it was inconsistent. Not much to be done to prepare this dish. I serve it for small dinner parties! I was reaching onto my daughters plate for garlic butter and it was barely seasoned I ordered a rack of lamb. Each of the three "chops?" Was about the size and thickness of a quarter. They were VERY tender. I think they cooked them under the heating lamp. All the plates were very hot. Astoundingly affordable!! РWe went to vickers for their 3 course dinner for $30 during the week. Portions are great and food was outstanding. Their chef came out to check on us and the mątre d' was always in eyeshot. So glad they have reopened under new management! Their bar menu is flat out cheap!!! Food is amazing. Nice to have a good restaurant back!

Low value for money – Lunch food was not nearly as good as Panera Bread Company, but much more expensive. Nice ambiance but, unless that makes you happy to pay double what a place like Panera charges, this place is not too exciting. I believe the quality of their food was much better years ago.
