After my back surgery at Stanford, I was accepted in skilled nursing at the Vi at Palo Alto with the warmest welcome. I have been a patient here for 3weeks. The medical staff is very attentive and very professional, the rehab facility has the best physical therapists There is a great feeling in the facility, great positive energy. The Vi offers many amenities which make life here enjoyable. All the employees are very helpful and friendly. I do have concerns about so many residents being handicapped. I feel there are several residents who should be in Assisted Living. There are lots of caregivers also. Sometimes I feel like I am living in an Assisted Living community instead of an Independent Living Community!
I was in Skilled Nursing for almost three weeks after abdominal surgery. I received outstanding care. The staff was competent & caring , the food very good & the OT & PT excellent. I was fortunate to have been in this superior facility .
My mother has been at the Vi of Palo Alto (formerly Byatt Classic Residence) since the day it opened close to 25 years ago. She started in Independent Living, has used the SNF level 3-5 times post surgeries, and moved to the Assisted Living level 5 years ago when she started needing help with bathing and taking her daily medication. After two weeks of rehab and an amazing experience at the Vi, i am now receiving an amazing outpatient support with physical therapy for my hip replacement. I also receive PT for balance to help with my Parkinson’s. In addition, the speech therapy and PT brought back my independence and autonomy. I have improved greatly in expressing my thoughts.
