I'm not sure if they're only used to working with new construction, but I wouldn't recommend them for an old house. We have a basement remodel going and the carpenter suggested VFJ. The drywall hanging went reasonably well. Things are a bit wonky in some places, but my house is a 100 years old, so it's not going to be perfect. The taping and mudding went really off the rails.
