Highly Recommend Our little dog recently had an acute IVDD issue, and VetSurg managed to get him in for surgery ( with a referral) with less than 24 hours’ notice. We were fortunate enough to have Dr Carla Applegrein as our surgeon. She meticulously reviewed Barney’s CT scan and his physical presentation during the consultation, and after thorough consideration, she concluded that—due to his improvement over the past 24 hours and no signs of neurological issues—conservative treatment was the best option for now. I cannot thank Dr. Mark, Mel and the rest of the team at VetSurg enough. My dog Teto had an incredible hip replacement with Mark, the surgery was done beautifully and she barely even has a scar. The post-operative care was amazing as well, Mel was always there to answer the phone when I had questions and even when Teto had some problems over the weekend Mark took the time to personally email me to help look after her. I could write a 500 page review on my experience with Mark, Mel, and the team at VetSurg. When my dog was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis at a young age, we were almost left on an island - where we had no sound advice whatsoever, and I had to do all the research myself.
