Veterinary Specialist Services Underwood is open for consultations from 7.30am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Emergencies will be seen on Saturdays. All hospitalised patients with Veterinary Specialist Services will be cared for by our veterinarians 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure exceptional patient care for every pet.

We can’t thank the whole team at VSS Underwood enough Steph, Josh, Sophie ,Peter , Else and all the receptionists , everyone who has help give our beautiful girl some extra time , everyday the staff have gone above and beyond to keep us updated ,accomodate us visiting at all hours of the day and overall keeping Bonnie comfortable, she is home now , for how long we don’t know , but she is happy and so are we . Thank you to all the team ❤️❤️❤️
VSS have been absolutely amazing, when our puppy decided to follow our cat onto our balcony railing resulting with a fall from the second story, they were kind, professional and excellent. The vet was willing to go above and beyond as our pup had a heart condition that needed special care, consulting with the cardiologist for the best course of action for the best outcome for Jessi. I could not be happier with the respect and knowledge they have.
Unfortunately had to visit 3 times for various urgent doggy issues, in recent months. Always welcomed immediately with a smile and compassion. Often need to wait quite a while for medical attention but I understand it's often busy. I have found all the veterinary professionals to be extremely competent, and use their team of colleagues to discuss cases when needed. Nice to know they’re open over the weekends as that’s when our pets seem to get sick!
Brilliant , caring , exceptional and competent service from start to finish . I felt my much loved Dobermann was in the best hands and she recovered brilliantly . I am forever grateful
We arrived at the emergency vet around 11:00 AM. After about 20 minutes, a nurse came out, briefly asked about my dog’s condition, and took her inside, saying the vet would take a look soon. We then waited in the lobby until 12:50 PM — nearly two hours — before a UQ intern finally came to bring us into an exam room. The intern asked me all over again what happened to my dog.
