Beware James Farese, DVM Beware James Farese, Orthopedic Surgeon__Our 7 year old male Border/Shepherd mix had the dreaded TPLO; we could not get a call back from him on instructions and follow up care questions. We talked to the veterinary clinic where he did the surgery, they offered to send him a message and email, still no response. Quailty emergency care This is a referal practice associated with the Contra Costa Emergency Vet. Hospital. A surgon can be called in on an emergency basis (like when my mother's cat ate a needle), or surgery's can be set up from referals from general practices that aren't comfotable with more complex surgery. I've had to do both for my pets, and found the surgeons, to be excellent. They explained the procedures well so I knew what was going to happen. They do cost quite a bit more than a regular verinarian, but the service ... read more

Life Saver When my dog ate something that made her act so weird and started throwing up....I got panicky and started looking for vets that are open at night. I found this vet hospital and rushed my dog in. When i got there, the receptionist was so helpful and took my dog in right away. I had to leave her over night for them to watch her and picked her up in the morning. When i picked her up, she was back to normal. I just want to say thank you for taking good care of her.
