The Hospital has MOVED; now at 149 Westbrook Road in Essex.. Rt 95 to Rt 9 (North) Exit 3, take left and go 1 mile same telephone number

I brought a stray cat someone hit in front of my house there on behalf of the town animal control (they were out of the area and I didn't want him to suffer). They took him in right away and let us be there for him being PTS so he didn't have to suffer anymore.

Not sure about how long Pieper has been running this 24 hour care facility or when they took over because the former owner/managers were butchers. Recently, we brought our cat in when his lower body collapsed. They were great. They are a whole new group there and need to shed this poor image from the dark past The reviews here may be old. I'm encouraged by what we experienced there and hope for the best. We had to bring our dog in late at night and we made the mistake of bringing her here instead of driving an extra 20 mins to RI. They were pleasant, but would not let us stay with her for blood tests, xrays or the exam. They said that veins can be hard to find in older dogs...so what...they didn't want us to see how they couldn't find the vein, yet our dog was supposed to be with total strangers while they repeatedly stuck her with a needle?!!?!? She had a growth and needed a biopsy, but they don't have the diagnostics there... read more
