Our dog injured one of his dewclaws late on a Friday afternoon. We were unable to make an appointment with our usual veterinarian so we contacted VEG. We took him to our local VEG in Encinitas and they took him right away. Dr Cruz and her staff went right to work on his injury, cleaned it out and wrapped it up to keep it clean. We feel very lucky to have this veterinary group nearby and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

From someone that has seen a lot of veterinary centers from working with rescue dogs as well as service dog training I can confidently say that VEG is top notch. Not only does the animal calm down because he or she is with his handler but the recovery process I’m sure is faster. My dog... read more

We are leaving Shadowridge vet because they have recently gone greatly downhill. We came to the vet with our chihuahua who had recently developed skin issues, including bumps on his skin that seemed like some sort of allergic reaction. The vet charged us nearly $200 and sent us away to pick up children's benadryl with a follow up date for two weeks later. At the time, he said if the bumps didn't go away he would biopsy one of them to check for cancer or other infections. Fast forward two weeks and the bumps had not gone away... read more

I highly recommend VEG in Encinitas for emergency pet care. They allow you to be with your pet the entire time and all the staff are knowledgeable, organized and caring and took great care to ensure tgat both my pet and I wear well cared for. Special shout out to Dr Teel who performed 1.5 hour major surgery on my labrador retriever and spent the time to walk me through every step of the way.
