All the staff we interacted were very professional and willing to take the time to explain things I may have not been so well educated about. Really thought the "open air" set up is a great idea. Better than sitting in a small room and starting at the walls...I believe the 2nd question is a little off. While we were IMMEDIATLY seen by a staff member the actual Dr was about 20-25 min wait. BUT understanding that this is in essence an ER setup, if something critical came in I believe the Dr would have been brought in ASAP. eg ... read more

I'm so grateful for the kindness and compassion we received during one of the hardest days of our lives. We had to say goodbye to our sweet 2-year-old kitty after unexpected heart failure, and every single person treated us with such empathy and respect. They made an incredibly painful experience just a little easier. Receiving this thoughtful card afterward meant more than I can express. Thank you for caring not only for our pet, but for our family too. We will never forget your kindness.
Going to the emergency vet can be difficult, but if I ever have to go I will choose VEG Edgewater every time. Being able to stay with your pet is such great opportunity so they feel more comfortable. I also appreciate that I could come and visit anytime. The staff is amazing and you can tell they truly care about their patients and families.
This was my first experience at an emergency vet, and I will definitely go back (if I ever need it). Everyone was friendly and communicative. Even when the wait time increased due to more critical patients, they kept me updated and offered me snacks and drinks while I waited. Very positive experience!
