I bought a house August of 2023 and they were responsible for settling up my escrow. The house I moved into had tax exemptions in the previous year but not the year that I bought it. I was given $1100 in tax credit from previous owner and was responsible for about $800. They had warned me that the taxes would go up the following year and I understand that and am aware of why that would happen. What they didnt do is collect the other amount the previous owner taxes that they should have been paying without the tax exemptions.... read more
