This 23,000 square foot recreation facility opened its doors in November 2009. The VMRC features a large gymnasium, elevated walking/running track, multi-purpose activity room, fitness/weights areas, locker rooms, an outpatient rehab clinic, and offices for the Parks and Recreation Department. Through the VMRC, the Garner Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of group fitness classes, youth and adult sports and programs, personal training, and a variety of special events and rentals!

Nice, large facility that is mostly clean depending on who works a given day. They have most of the equipment you would ever need. However, lots of members from out of town that pay same rate as taxpayers who subsidize the facility.
