The only major issue I have is accessing motor pool since I don’t live near the campus and my car is shot. They just don’t answer the phone. Having said that, everything else about the care that I received, the courtesy, respect, and assistance is outstanding! The facility is on the national register of historic places, so obviously there are going to be infrastructure aging problems, which are exacerbated by the felon in chief’s massive budget cuts. It’s not their fault.
Be a good patient. I have been coming to VA East Orange for 20 years, the service has been incredible. Mrs Grewall in nutrition helped me lose 15 pounds. Dr Kodali is very careful. Primary care nursing and check in staff are always friendly and offer up vaccine shots. When they draw blood it barely hurts.
The medical teams the VA has put together for this Hospital and so many outpatient clinics are the pinnacle of quality health care. My allergy clinic pre-appointment interview here with Nurse Roselyn revealed other potential problems. She was really intuitive during the interview about my condition and very kind, recommending she'd take me over to ER for a quick check after the clinic appointment. Everyone at this facility - Nurses, allied health, Doctors, radiology team, assorted hospital staff, is friendly and helpful here. I mean EVERYONE.
