I had a frustrating experience with Vesta Settlements Richmond over a file I was trying to close out. I was told in writing that $500 would resolve the matter in full, and I sent that payment. Later, I received another email claiming that $200 had been returned from my payment and asking me to resubmit it. After checking with the bank and reviewing the payment history, there was no returned $200, no reimbursement, and no pending credit on my end. My records show the payments as completed. I used this title company on a land transaction in Goochland County and had a frustrating experience. They were able to identify that the property did not have recorded legal access and that access was not insurable, but the communication throughout the process was inconsistent between multiple people in the office. I was given mixed answers on what they could and could not assist with, and there was no clear, coordinated path provided to actually move the access issue toward resolution.
