Karen was the guardian ad litem in the year 2000 or 2001 for my then step-daughters. I got to go to her office to defend myself against some crazy allegations from the girls’ Mom. We hit it off immediately, she was more than fair and she made the correct custody decision. If you get assigned to her you are in good hands. I think she even took the girls to get ice cream. We lived in Bellevue but the case was in Douglas County.
Terrible experience and very biased. Initial meeting was for 1 hour and she rushed me on questions stating “you need to hurry up so we can get through this.” It was scheduled and billed for one hour yet she finished it in 31 minutes. During joint mediation she locked me out of the mediation meeting then called me 10’ after it started, questioning why I wasn’t in the meeting. This is a very overdue review to Karen, who did my divorce mediation several years ago and helped me with another minor issue. She made the mediation process pain free and almost fun at times. Everything was done in a timely, organized manner. She was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions., and each of us felt we were treated fairly. Felt the price was very reasonable.
