Go anywhere else. Believe the reviews. My relationship with SBS began with my wife and I finding stone at one of the local distributors who only sells to fabricators. We had fabricators lined up through our contractor, but due to availability, we chose SBS to purchase the stone on our behalf and we agreed to pay a fair mark-up for their contribution. The company from hell A miserable experience. Installation was delayed twice. The counters looked terrible and when I complained was told the wrong finish was put on them. For six months I have tried to get them to come back and refinish per their guarantee. Most of the time they do not show or call. Then they can't be reached by phone. Most of the time I have to drive down to their olace and force a date and time for them to come do the work. Same experiences as other reviewers. Horrible Like the other reviewer posted. We had exactly the same experience. They were great when we picked the stone, but it all went badly when it came to instalation. They said the granite would be ready in a week and set up install time. When that day came they didn't show up. This was a repeat occourance. In total they didn't show up 12 times. Horrible lack of professionalism...absolutely no communication. ALSO KNOWN AS SPECIALTY BUILDING SYSTEMS...STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS !!! Was originally told that the installation would take 2-3 days, but ended up taking weeks. They would never answer their phone, and, when they did, lied through their teeth to keep us on the hook. Could never get them out to the house without threatening a lawyer. One excuse after another.
