My mom goes here, Dr zak is gone and has pushed her clients onto a new doctor who is unfamiliar with her patients and their needs and now it’s causing extreme issues in my household
She is one of the best psychiatrists (and therapist) I’ve ever had. She helped me through some pretty rough times, not just with medication, she took the time to talk with me at length at every appointment.
I’ve been seeing Dr Zak on and off for five years. I’m very happy with her. She manages my psych meds and I see her once a month. It’s difficult to get any kind of psychotherapy here, just not enough therapists! So Dr Zak has taken on the role of my “therapist” for quite a while. She’s kind, caring, insightful, and always makes sure that I know she is available if I need her. Dr. Zak is a lovely woman who genuinely cared about her patients. Shutting down the behavioral health unit really inconvenient for me as I now have to make two trips; one for “therapy” and one for med management. I hope she finds work locally.
She is SO nice! I've had hit or miss with psychiatrists over the years. My prior doctor no longer accepted our insurance and I dreaded finding a new doctor. Dr. Zak put me at ease right away. She was soft spoken, friendly, didn't make me feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience. She listened and genuinely seemed to care. She took her time to explain things. I am definitely glad I found her.
