Wow! I just finished reading the sales contract from Focus Homes. They allow themselves up to 2 years to complete the home regardless of what the agent tells you the completion date will be. So, don't take them at their word when they tell you 6 months. If they won't put it in writing, that date doesn't mean squat. If you default by failing to get financing during the 2 years, say you get injured, lose your job, whatever and are unable to close, they can sue you for 20% of the purchase price.
